Happy Birthday Nana Connolly!

Mallory, of course, trying to get a better view...her head was practically pushing the screen out (glad it was the first floor!)

Happy Birthday Nana Connolly! The weather was beautiful and we were happy to see Uncle Tommy, Uncle Mike and Auntie Maureen (they traveled a long way!)

Katie was correct! Hillary was happy and Natalie was in a mood. She truly is her father's daughter. I remember when Jay and I started dating and I was completely confused/annoyed that it would take someone time to "warm up" in the morning. I (on most days) wake up practically singing and dancing. Which makes me truly my father's daughter!

Because I Love Him...

Jay, you owe me BIG time!

Same Look, Different Moods

How is it that two children built with the exact same DNA can have completely opposite moods. One woke up, came down the stairs with a smile on her face and said, "Mom, I woke up!" The other slept in, came down the stairs and said, "Don't talk to me anyone. Talk to me in a few minutes." Guess who?

We are alive and well...and wireless! The wireless part being the reason for our hiatus in blogland. I find it pretty funny that neither myself nor my husband wanted to tackle installing the wireless router, so we went without internet for about two weeks. It was a waiting game between the two of us and Jay finally took the plunge and spent a few hours on the phone with Comcast. Now we can blog from anywhere in the house! I won't have pictures posted until we hook up the printer/scanner and my camera. So it may be another two weeks because I'm planning on waiting him out on that too. The girls are great! Natalie is using the potty frequently and Hillary has regressed so much that she won't even stand in the bathroom near it. Thank you Auntie Erin for the potty charts! And Mallory is still climbing away. She has lots of new tricks and has been repeating lots of words lately. She is too cute! Hopefully I'll have some pictures soon!

Your Nana

The girls and I spent the afternoon with Your Nana. Yes, they refer to my mom as Your Nana now. Very strange and funny. I guess they wanted to be a little more clear as to who they were referring to. Instead of Nana and Nana Marie, it's Your Nana and Daddy's Nana. So we arrived at Nana's office to show the girls her desk and to visit with Nana's sister, Patty, who sits right around the corner. Not sure if the girls wrapped their head around that one but it was nice seeing her and giving the girls an image when I tell them for the thousandth time each day, "Nana is at work!" We headed out for lunch and were surprised to see Papa stop by the restaurant. He wasn't able to stay for lunch but the girls were happy to get a few minutes with him. Next stop, the Necco Factory. What kid wouldn't be happy running through a candy shoppe. They left with Necco wafers, of course, and lots of other goodies. Finally we ended the day at an awesome new park. They had their first seesaw ride and the weather couldn't have been better. It was a great day! We love you Nana!!

Hillary or Natalie?

We're back...

This blog is officially back in business. We had two minor problems, our computer and camera were both on the fritz. But rest assured, my extraordinary husband solved both problems. We are temporarily using his work laptop and I got a beautiful new camera. Is it possible to be in love with an inanimate object? Because I think I am. I have lots of pictures from our weekend getaway to Rock Haven Lake! It was very relaxing and we sure made some memories and had some laughs. We boated, I kayaked and we took a mini-trip to Conway. The girls loved spending time with their cousins!
